Send SMS/Text Message

Use this command to address and compose SMS messages to contacts in your address book. If you do not specify the text message, your SMS client will be launched with the recipient field filled in. You can then manually type in your text message.

Examples:

"Send SMS to Bob Jones, I’ll be 10 minutes late."

"Send SMS to Bob Jones"

Command:

"Send SMS to [Contact], [Text Message]"

"Send SMS to [Contact]"

• Only names in your contacts will be recognized
• Keep the text message to 20 words or fewer
• Speak the full name (first AND last name), exactly as it appears in your contacts.
• Example: Contact is William Smith, but he is listed as Bill Smith in your contacts: "Send SMS to Bill Smith"
• Example: Contact is Katherine Smith, but she is listed as "Katie" in your contacts, with no last name: "Send SMS to Katie"
